Our crew will provide their expertise with descriptions and quotations of the Durrell\u201ds books like Gerald Durrell\u201ds \u201cMy family and other animals\u201d& \u201d Birds, beasts\u00a0 and relatives \u201d and his brother \u00a0Lawrence Durrell\u201ds \u201cProspero\u201ds cell\u201d and \u00a0the biography of their family and even the spots will be shown, where they took scenes for the successful series of the Durrell\u201ds by the producer Christopher Hall from 2016-2019.<\/p>\n
Even from the seaside we will see the elegant Mon Repos Palace, the summer residence from our last Greek King Konstantin I. and where Queen Elizabeth\u2019s husband Prince Philip was born in 1921.<\/p>\n
Finally we will reach the idyllic \u201cMouse island\u201d and the white precious looking Greek orthodox church \u201cVlacherna\u201d- both serve as landmarks of Corfu island.<\/p>\n
We sail back and will anchor at the beautiful island \u201cVidos\u201d with its untouched nature, you will have time to go for \u00a0a swim there.<\/p>\n
Afterwards we will relax on board and listen to several short stories and novels of the Durrell\u201ds and continue sailing along the picturesque east coast towards the north.\u00a0 We will see the beautiful Venetian Villa in \u201cKontokali\u201d,where they had been filming the main part of the famous Durrell series\u2026and we will spot the idyllic Chapel of \u201cSaint Arsenius\u201d, the favorite bathing area of Larry & Nancy Durrell.<\/p>\n
Last but not least\u2026arriving at the pretty village on the coast \u201cKalami\u201d, where you can have excellent lunch at the famous \u201cWhite house\u201d, where Lawrence Durrell lived with his wife Nancy in the 1930\u2033s.<\/p>\n
